Role Overview
A Content Developer is a skilled IT specialist with a broad range of software-related abilities, specialising in content development, document creation, formatting, and styling. Your primary responsibility is to assess the potential for document automation by extracting data from client data sources.
In this role, you will work at the intersection of data and documentation, designing efficient systems that transform raw client data into structured, formatted, and automated document outputs. You'll collaborate with technical teams to understand data structures and with clients to deliver solutions that streamline their document workflows.
We're looking for a detail-oriented IT professional who combines technical versatility with a passion for creating elegant document solutions from complex data.
Assess document automation potential by analysing client data sources and identifying opportunities for efficiency
Extract, transform, and map data from various client systems to populate automated document templates
Design and implement document formatting and styling solutions that meet client specifications and brand standards
Collaborate with software engineers to integrate document automation into broader IT systems and workflows
Test and validate automated document outputs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with requirements
0 to 2 years of experience in IT with focus on data extraction, document creation, or content management
Proficiency in data extraction techniques and working with various data sources (databases, APIs, spreadsheets)
Strong skills in document formatting and styling tools (Microsoft Word, Adobe InDesign, LaTeX, or similar)
Understanding of automation principles and experience with templating languages or document generation tools
Basic programming or scripting knowledge (Python, SQL, VBA) for data manipulation and extraction
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
Experience with document automation platforms (DocuSign Gen, Conga, PandaDoc) or enterprise content management systems
Familiarity with database design and data modelling concepts
